New Realtor

Well, we finally got a new Realtor.  Hopefully this one will get the house sold soon.  Really soon.

I took some picture of the view from the back of the house.  Since we had our two days of fall the leaves are turning and the view is really nice.  I will try to get them put up this weekend.  I’m sure it wont be long though before they are all gone and we can see our neighbors across the ravene.

Happy Anniversary to us!

The Saga Continues…..

So, I called the auto body shop today to ask if my car was still on target to be ready this Friday. The response was, not this Friday. We have painted the inside door jams and the wheel hubs however we still have to put the car back together, cover it up with plastic before we can paint the out side of the car. Then, we have to reinstall the glass and take the car to the muffler shop to see if the muffler and tail pipes can be fixed or if it needs to be replaced.

The tail pipes underneath the car were damaged too.

They could not promise or guarantee that the vehicle would be ready next week. The estimate will also go up; how much depends on whether the replace or repair the muffler and the tail pipes.

So, as of next Friday, the body shop will have had my car, that isn’t totaled, 51 days. I find that quite ridiculous considering that I probably won’t get it back until the following week.

We haven’t done much to the house at all. We can barley make it home at the end of the day. With me in school and working full time, Jason working both the full and part time job and I just started back part time at the Hallmark store, we have no energy to do anything. Keep your fingers crossed for us, that we sell the town house soon. It has really taken a toll on us.

House Pictures

Well, after the long wait we have added pictures of the finished house.  There are couple pictures that I didn’t get but we will take more pictures once we get all the furniture situated.  Take a look and enjoy the beauty.

Loft project

I added picture of the loft area, a.k.a. the Man Space.  I can’t decide how to position the furniture yet.  Right now I have two options but will add picture of the 3rd option soon.  It just involves more furniture being moved.

Option 1 and 2 are pretty much the same except for the love seat being moved.  Both options work but option 2 blocks off the room and give you about 4 feet of dead space behind it.  You have to walk around the love seat to get into the “room”.  Option 1 is more open but it still have a lot of wasted space.

Ideas?

New Pictures

Well, apparently the pictures I thought I took of the finished out weren’t actually taken.  But I do have two new pictures of the outside of the finished house.  Sorry everyone waited for pretty much nothing.

As most of you know Jenna was in a wreck last week.  She is for the most part okay but is having some pain and tingling in her arm.  She is also having some memory issues that the doctor attributes to stress and pain.  This could very well be true she still a CT scan today just to make sure nothing got damaged.  She will also likely need an MRI if her arm and hand issues don’t clear up.  We’ll keep you posted.  I put some pictures up of the car if you are interested.  Right now we are looking at about $5,000 in damages but that insurance company says it’s not totalled yet.  There is also some frame damage but the body shop and the adjuster insisted that it can be repaied and be fine.

Oh, and make things even better.  They guy didn’t have insurance.  How awesome is that?

Pictures soon..

I promise I will get pictures up soon so check back.  There will also be some pictures of furniture arrangements that I would like some opinions on.  I can’t decide how to set up the loft so be sure to vote.

We have had a lot of interest in the old house recently with about 5 viewings in the last week.  I guess marking the house as vacant on the MLS helped.  Hopefully someone will want to buy because two mortgages is not something we are looking forward to with excitement.

I hate moving

Moving is a pain.  Even with hiring movers, moving is a pain.  You would think hiring movers to move the furniture would make things easier but it doesn’t.  You still have a billion boxes to move on your own and then you have to UNPACK everything!  Unpacking is no fun either.  Tip: Label boxes clearly.  Don’t just put “Kitchen” or “Bedroom” on it.  It took us a day and a half just to find the freakin’ toilet paper!

It will be a few more weeks before the house looks nice but once we get stuff unpacked and cleaned we will post some pictures.  Until then, just image stacks of boxes and furniture at weird angles.

House is almost done

We had our walk through yesterday afternoon.  The main problems were minor paint issues that will be fixed and few odds and ends.  Overall the house looked great.  (I will try to get up pictures later.)  We have one more walk through on the 25th and then we close on the 26th.

The old house is still for sale so it anyone knows someone in the market for a gently used townhouse send them our way.  We lowered the price a little and we have had more interest the past week so hopefully we will get some offers soon.  Though, I don’t know why people haven’t made offers previously.  Freakin’ hippies.

Slacker

That’s the best way to describe me these days.  Sorry for the delays in updating but nothing new has been going on.  We have the first walk through on the new house next Tuesday.  We will try to take some pictures so you can what the finished house looks like.  At least, what it looks like before we mess it up by moving in.

Catching up

There are only 32 days until we close on our new house. A little nerve racking being that we have not sold our current home. The winds are changing. They’ve got to be. We currently have a distinguished unit house on the market; none other for sale in the neighborhood is like ours in looks.

Meanwhile at the new house a 24 ton AC unit was installed this week. Can you say BREEZY! I like it. The hardwoods in the living room, dining room and hall are completed. They look nice. We also have a driveway and sidewalk. Jason would not let me carve our names in the wet concrete. They look nice. This week, the builder will install a new cabinet in the kitchen (the one they installed has a gash in it) trim out the walls with toe kick, and complete painting.

This weekend we took measurements for our windows so that we could price some window treatments. We have a lot more windows to dress this move.

I have a final exam tomorrow for the CNA class I am taking. Before some study time today, Christopher, Justin, Granny and I went for a swim. I forgot how nice a pool is when it is 90 degrees outside. Our new neighborhood will not have a pool. Today, for a brief moment I thought I would miss it.
