Itinerary

Tuesday 5th – Land in Shannon – get rental car, drive up to to Doolin (about an hour total). Stop at Ennis Friary to see it. Once we get to Doolin we can see Aillwee Cave that afternoon. Stay in Doolin that night. Rainbow Hostel Doolin Call boat tour for Skellig to confirm tel:+353 66 9476214

Wednesday 6th – see Cliffs of Mohr. We can do a boat tour (about an hour) of the cliffs and walk around and see stuff. (9 minute drive from Doolin) Stop off at Ruins of Dysert O’Dea and Bunratty Castle on the way to Killarney. Doolin to Killarney is about 2:30 drive. Stay in Killarney. Dunlow View Hostel

Thursday 7thCall boat tour to confirm. tel:+353 66 9476214 Drive down to Portmagee for Skellig Michael tour (hour and a half drive – tour will take a lot of the day) After the tour we can head back to Killarney and see what we have time to see. Options include Killarney itself, Lakes of Killarney and Torc Waterfall. Stay in Killarney that night.

Friday 8th – Leave Killarney head to Mizen Head which is about 2 hrs. Check out Mizen Head for a bit, then head to Drombeg Stone Circle 1:15 hr drive. From here head up to Cork which is about an hour drive. Check out Cork for the afternoon on Friday. This will be longest driving day. Stay in Cork that night. Sheilas Cork Hostel

Saturday 9th – go from Cork to Blarney Castle (15 minutes away), From Blarney head up to the Rock of Cashel which is about an hour drive. From the Rock to Kilkenny is about an hour drive. Stay in Kilkenny that night. Rose Cottage

Sunday 10th – check out Kilkenny for the arts festival, drive to Dublin that afternoon/evening. About an hour and a half drive. Stay in Dublin. North Star Hotel

Monday 11th Turn in the rental car by 11am. Tour Guinness, Jameson, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, The National Leprechaun Museum, Smyth’s Toys (right up from Museum) if we have time. Folklore Dinner.

Tuesday 12thNew Grange tour (10:30-4:30pm) check out Dublin after the tour

Wednesday 13th(Train) to to Belfast! (11am-1:15pm) We should get to Belfast around Mid-day which will give us some time to sightsee. Possibly check out Titanic Exhibit Belfast International Youth Hostel

Thursday 14th – pick up rental car 11am (5 minute walk from the Hostel). Head up to Dark Hedges (hour drive), Giant’s Causeway (30 min drive), maybe check out Bushmills and Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge (15min drive from Causeway), come back down the coast to Ballygally Castle (hour an a half drive). Haunted Castle!

Friday 15th – Drive back to Belfast (45 min), drop off the car by 11am, then (train – 12:35pm-2:45pm to Dublin) to Dublin, LUAS (light rail) to Heuston Station. Then train to Galway (4:30pm-6:50pm), Stay in Galway Sleepzone

Saturday 16th – check out Galway some then train to Sixmilebridge (5:50pm-7:20pm). Then it’s a 10 minute drive to Shannon. I assume we can get a taxi or something. Shannon Taxi Service (061)471538 Park Inn

Thursday 21stLondon Walk Tour (11-1:30pm $20)

Places to see: The Eye, Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing St, MI6, Abbey Rd, 221b Baker St, Tardis (Earl’s Court Station), Pick up Train ticket from Bridge station for train to Edinburgh
