Poor sick wifey

Jenna is sick.  Pretty sure it’s the flu.  It may even be the swine flu according to flu.gov since she does have some vomiting after trying to eat something.  Of course when she went to the doctor today at the hospital during work they just gave her a Z-pack antibiotic and told her to go home.  Isn’t it great when doctors just automatically throw an antibiotic at a sick person instead of trying to actually diagnose something?

Stretcher

I’ve decided that when I win the lottery I’m going to hire a personal stretcher.  The most helpful thing PT has had me doing is stretching muscles that I didn’t realize were tight and it has helped a lot.  Maybe I can find a personal masseuse/stretcher/trainer combo person.  That would be cool.

Physical Therapy

Nothing like some PT to make you realize how out of shape you are.  Apparently my back issues are because of my back.  They said my left hip was out of alignment and was causing the muscles to pull incorrectly.  Supposedly the adjustment they did combined with some stretching should fix the problem.  We’ll see how well it actually works.  All I know is that to be a physical therapist you must also be a sadist.

New mattress may not be the answer

We tried putting a sheet of plywood under the mattress to help prevent sagging.  It definitely worked and mattress was nice and firm.  Unfortunately it didn’t help with my back and actually cause pain in Jenna’s.  I’m starting to think I must have done something at work or at the house without realizing it.  If it’s not better after this weekend I may have to go to the doctor.

Stupid mattress

Our mattress is dying.  It’s starting to sag and causing pain instead of comfort.  It had a good life though, about 8 years, but now it’s close to time to be replaced.  Soon we will begin the even bigger pain of mattress shopping.  Personally, I’m leaning towards a Sleep Number so that both of us will be confortable and not have to compromise a good night’s sleep.

(Yay!  Posting 3 days in a row. )

Quarantine in effect

So I woke up today and was fine.  I ate my usual cereal for breakfast.  About 2 hrs later I started real dizzy, lightheaded and nauseaous and up came the breakfast about 30 minutes later.  For the rest of the day I’ve been laying down for the most part and dealing with the lightheadedness and nausea.  I talked to my mom this afternoon and she had the same thing yesterday.  (We live 2 hrs apart so I didn’t get it from her.)  She said she is fine today so hopefully I will be tomorrow.
